After a year of denying his background due to the negative stigma, misconceptions and stereotypes some people have about Africa, Tk an International student from Ghana founded Future of Africa to give students an opportunity to be more aware and to educate them to unlearn misconceptions and stereotypes.
Future of Africa has provided me with the medium to connect with like-minded individuals and brainstorm possible options to make a positive difference in Africa. People do lots of talking and many others have great ideas but this often goes to waste unless it is transformed into action.
There are many children and youth with dreams for a better future, however, there are obstacles in the form of basic needs (shelter, food, clothing, tuition) that put them at risk. I believe providing basic needs will give these children and youth the opportunity to tap into their potential to pursue these dreams for a better future.
