FOA is a campus organization in Wilfrid Laurier University that is committed to increasing awareness about Africa and to generate active participation by students in the development of initiatives geared towards making a difference in the continent.

We create a platform for students to learn and engage in discussions about the fate of at-risk children and youth in Africa. In sharing stories, dreams and ideas, we empower, challenge and provide opportunities for students to discover and act on their potential to make a difference.

Our objective is to educate students to unlearn misconceptions, eradicate stereotypes and to promote meaningful dialogue to foster effective learning.
